Portuguese researcher João Ramalho-Santos, head of the University of Coimbra’s Neuroscience and Cell Biology Centre, is the first non-American or British student to be distinguished for his participation in the ‘Frontiers in Reproduction programme’ by the Marine Biology Laboratory in Massachusetts, USA.
The researcher said: “It’s a prize that leaves me feeling very honoured, given the extremely high scientific level of the FIR students and the leading positions they occupy worldwide.”
