An exhibition featuring ‘reborn’ baby dolls by Portuguese artist Paula Lobato de Faria is taking place at the Silves Municipal Library until August 31.
The artist has a vast experience in doll restoration and mural paintings but recently turned to sculpting the so-called ‘reborn babies’ using silicone vinyl.
Paula Lobato Faria now runs Mybabyordoll nursery and describes herself as a “full-time reborner”.
Influenced by many international reborn artists, Paula says: “The love and care I dedicate to each of my babies makes me work even harder to achieve perfection. I delight in watching the reaction of families when they ‘adopt’ one of my babies.”
