Portuguese plane

Aircraft constructors DynAero Ibérica presented the first plane to be built entirely in Portugal on December 16.

The small aircraft, a MCR Biplane, has already been sold in kit form to over 300 customers and costs 100,000 euros.

It is aimed at those who want to build their own light aircraft and can reach maximum speeds of 300 kilometres per hour.

The plane factory employs more than 80 people at the plant in Ponte de Sor in the Alentejo and has received backing from the ministry of the economy and the Ponte de Sor Câmara.
