Portuguese passports now among 4th most powerful in the world

Passport Index, the world ranking that evaluates the power of a country’s travel document, has put Portugal in 4th place – alongside the United States.

Germany is the country of the passport that opens “most doors in the world”, followed by Sweden, according to the ranking.

The 3rd group (ahead of Portugal) includes Denmark, France, Spain, the UK, Norway, Singapore and Finland.

Portugal’s 4th slot climbs from 5th position in 2016, explains Observador news website.

Also in 5th position are Holland, Switzerland, Austria and South Korea.

The bottom of the ranking is held by Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan and Somalia.
