Portuguese MPs in Ukraine to check military operations, supply of equipment

Portuguese members of parliament Miguel dos Santos Rodrigues (PS Socialists) and Cristiana Ferreira (PSD social democrats) began a two-day visit to Ukraine today, parallel to that of the Portuguese president, to analyse the progress of military operations and the supply of military equipment to Ukrainian forces. In a note sent to Lusa news agency, the two MPs, from the Parliamentary Committee on National Defence, say the visit is taking place as part of the “United for Ukraine” platform, on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day (to be celebrated tomorrow).
