This was the message from PSD leader Rui Rio today, fully backed by foreign affairs minister Santos Silva. Indeed, Expresso says it will have helped that Rio warned of the consequences first. Back home, Santos Silva admitted this latest turn of events will set back hopes for economic recovery with the help of the ‘famous bazooka’ of EU funding. No one is talking yet of a recession, but, he said “the world has changed”.
