Nuno Santos from Sporting CP has been nominated for the FIFA Puskás Award, which every year “celebrates the (calendar) year’s most spectacular goal”.
The 28-year-old Portuguese player scored his stunning backheel goal (or ‘rabona’ as it is also known) against Boavista on March 12, 2023, earning him a place among the best goals of the year.
