Portuguese exports down 3.3% between March and May
Between March and May this year, Portuguese exports and imports dropped 3.3% and 0.8% respectively, when compared to the previous three-month period, meaning that the trade deficit increased €288.8 million.
The data comes from the National Statistics Institute (INE), which also revealed that in May alone, exports fell 3.6% on the previous month while imports rose 1.9% (-4.8% and -6.1% in April respectively).
