Cork exports increased by 4% in value and 5% in volume in 2012. Amorim, the largest national cork producer, registered record sales. The company closed 2012 with a record €511 million in sales, an increase of 22.9% on the previous year. Its success is down to product diversification and marketing investment outside of Europe, it revealed.
