Portuguese consume way too many calories… every single day

Portuguese adults consume, on average, twice the recommended daily quota of calories. In spite of being a country in which one of four people are on the poverty line (click here), national statistics institute INE reports that adults are eating way too much – particularly when it comes to meat, fish and eggs.
