Second tier club Oliveirense is due to officially announce the signing on loan of Kazu Miura, the oldest professional footballer in the world at 55.
The Japanese footballer will arrive on loan from Yokohama FC, a club owned by Onodera Group, which also owns the majority shares of Oliveirense’s SAD (Public limited sports company).
Apart from being the oldest professional footballer, Miura holds the records for being the oldest goalscorer in the J-League and the footballer with the world’s longest professional career.
