Members and guests of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK came together on July 14 at the Ambassador’s residence in Belgravia, London, to celebrate the launch of the Chamber’s Portuguese Business Network (PBN).
The event was hailed a success by the organisers with over 120 people attending, among them senior Portuguese business executives from Deutsche Bank, HSBC, JP Morgan Asset Management and Morgan Stanley.
A spokesman from the Chamber said: “Around 70% of the guests were not members of the Chamber, thus meeting our objectives of introducing the Chamber concept to a new generation of potential members.”
“The network will also be creating more senior networking events in our calendar and promoting the benefits of doing business with Portugal despite the current difficult trading environment,” added the spokesman.
