Secretary of State for the Communities Berta Nunes has pledged “very strong” reinforcement of border controls in the context of Covid-19 over Christmas. This applies particularly to land and air borders as Ms Nunes stresses airline passengers have already been detected trying to get into the country without the correct test results.
