Brazilian authorities arrested a Portuguese man after finding 60 different types of anabolic steroids in the false bottom of a suitcase he was carrying, on his way back into the country from Portugal.
Carlos Miguel de Oliveira has been living in Brazil for two years, and is understood to have made frequent trips back and forth between the two countries, selling his controlled substances through gyms in Fortaleza.
41-year-old Oliveira was described as having been caught red-handed by airport police. His beefy physique will have alerted the authorities to possible use of performance enhancing steroids, which promote the growth of skeletal muscle and the development of male sexual characteristics.
