Portuguese architect Maria João Zagallo has won a major prize in the 2022 Internatioinal Architecture Awards. The distinction comes in the Private Houses category, and was attributed by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Ms Zagallo’s project, built in a beach resort in northern Mozambique, was among 600 submitted from architects from all over the world.
