Portuguese airports register 4.4% increase in flights in 2019

Portugal’s airport traffic control towers registered a 4.4% increase in flights in 2019, with the most significant spikes in air traffic movement happening in Cascais (+22.6%), Ponta Delgada (+6.6%) and Faro (+5.5%).

The data was revealed by air traffic control authority NAV, which also reported increases in flights at the Sá Carneiro airport in Porto (3.6%) and the Humberto Delgado airport in Lisbon (+2.3%).
