AFPOP, the association of foreign property owners in Portugal, together with euroFinesco S.A., recently presented the most up-to-date tax information to the international community in the Greater Lisbon area. It was another successful round of tax seminars held at the Baía Hotel in Cascais, and attracted members from as far afield as Coimbra.
Dennis Swing Greene and his euroFinesco team were welcomed by Sheena Rawcliffe, the outgoing president of AFPOP, who once again headed the lively question and answer session. One member commented: “It is so useful to know how to stay on the right side of the fiscal authorities.”
The seminar was followed by a lunch at the hotel, at which Stewart Austin, AFPOP Lisbon representative, welcomed everyone and highlighted the association’s upcoming event, which will be in conjunction with consumer rights organisation, Deco. The event will be open to everyone.
Sheena announced that, after completing five years as president, she thought it was time to hand over the reigns to someone else, but commented that, with her companies including The Resident Lisbon edition, she will still have great ties with members in the Lisbon area. She thanked the euroFinesco team, her AFPOP Algarve team, Michael Reeve and Ana, and members for their continued support of the association.
