Portugal’s Rt down to 0.92, incidence falls along with numbers in hospitals

Portugal’s Friday Covid bulletin has brought the news that the country’s Rt has reduced yet again – now down to 0.92. Incidence too is down, as are numbers in hospitals (both Covid infirmaries and intensive care). In the last 24-hours there has only been one fatality with Covid, 377 new cases and 490 ‘recoveries’. Active case numbers nationally are now down to 22,421. Out of a population of 10.2 million, this is an infection rate of 0.2%. Of the 838,852 citizens who have tested positive for the virus, 16,989 have sadly died – an overall lethality rate of 2.02%.
