Portugal’s reopened shopping malls “took more last Monday than any Monday in April pre-pandemic”

Monday April 19 was the day most shopping malls in Portugal were allowed to reopen after three-months of Covid lockdown. Hundreds of thousands of people filed through doors up and down the country, many waiting patiently in long queues. The result was that malls last Monday registered takings roughly 25% higher than on any Monday in April 2019.
