Portugal’s miracle baby leaves hospital

Portugal’s miracle baby, Salvador Lourenço – the infant who developed for more than four months in his mother’s womb while she was kept mechanically alive – has finally left his incubator in intensive care at Alfredo da Costa maternity hospital and is ‘home’, supposedly with his father. Newspapers reporting have all been vague as to who is looking after Salvador, given that his maternal grandparents had hoped to become his legal guardians.
