Portugal’s frontier controls “detect more than 100 fugitives from justice”

Since Portugal’s frontiers started being heavily controlled on January 31, SEF (foreigners and borders agency) inspectors have detected more than 100 fugitives from justice. Explain reports, using a real-time application known as SEF Mobile, they have been able to check on the records of citizens attempting to cross from Spain to Portugal or vice-versa. Just last Saturday, three more ‘wanted’ citizens were detected, as well as a missing person and three vehicles at the frontiers of Valença, Vila Verde de Raia, Vilar Formoso and Castro Marim in the Algarve.
