Associations supporting Portugal’s homeless population – almost two thirds of which live in the streets of Lisbon and Porto – heard this week that health authorities will be ensuring early vaccinations. The first to receive inoculations will be people living on the streets, or in official shelters, over the age of 50 and with comorbidities “respecting DGS criteria”, writes Expresso, adding that there is a ‘important share’ of the homeless population also living in the region of the Algarve.
