Portugália plane in tranquil emergency landing

In a way only Portuguese news stories can run, there was an emergency landing in Lisbon by a Portugália plane yesterday, that was ‘tranquil’: a technical problem that required the discharge of passengers ‘calmly’. The landing took place shortly after the plane had taken off en-route for Barcelona. The plane returned to the capital’s main airport, and the calm passengers were able to continue with their journey four hours later, say reports. Portugália is the low-cost arm of TAP airlines, which is in the throes of reprivatisation.
