Portugal will have cheaper energy in medium term, pledges economy minister

Economy minister António Costa Silva has said that Portugal will have cheaper, more competitive energy, in the medium term – stressing that 60% of energy consumed in this country is already coming from highly competitive ‘renewable sources’. Mr Costa Silva was speaking at the new Nokia centre in Alfragide, for 5G and 6G investigation and development. The only moot point of his speech being there was no real time-scale for ‘medium term’.
