Portugal’s Fundo Ambiental (Environmental Fund) is to triple its budget this year for the purchase of electric bicycles. Explain reports, the budget is going from €400,000 to €1.1 million – and there will be another €50,000 available for the purchase of conventional bicycles. Candidacies open this week and will apply to bicycles bought since January. Support will run to 20% of the value of purchase, up to €100.
