Portugal to invest 25% more to promote itself in Spain

Portugal is going to spend 25% more money to promote itself in Spain, the country’s “second biggest tourism market”. The goal is to “keep Spanish tourists here longer” (on average, they only stay in Portugal for two days). The announcement came from Secretary of State for Tourism Ana Mendes Godinho at Madrid’s FITUR tourism fair this week. How much money will be spent on this initiative was not revealed.
