Portugal reported 6,602 new COVID-19 infections and 55 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the latest figures released by health authority DGS on Saturday.
Portugal has seen 3,305 deaths and 211,266 infections due to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
The highest number of daily COVID-19 infections was posted on Friday, with 6,653 cases.
Northern Portugal has seen the greatest number of infections and deaths in the past 24 hours, according to DGS.
