Portugal registers 373 new virus cases, the majority in Lisbon and north

Today’s Covid bulletin brings the news that there are steadily fewer people in hospitals and intensive care units on a day when almost every region registered negligible numbers of new cases (with exception of Lisbon and Porto). The Alentejo logged up 12 new cases, the Algarve 12, the archipelagos of Madeira and Azores both 16. Lisbon and Vale do Tejo registered 106, the north 181. Recoveries totalled 538; deaths 5 – three in Lisbon, two in the north. The Rt remains on 0.95, incidence for the mainland on 59 – and the excellent news of the week is that Portugal is still the country registering the least number of deaths throughout Europe.
