Portugal receives €64 million to help settle refugees

Portugal has received just under €64 million from Brussels so far to help with settling refugees from Ukraine. The funding update has come in a statement today which shows that Poland has been the greatest beneficiary, receiving €562 million, and having taken the highest number of refugees. Next comes Italy (€452 million), Romania (€450 million), Spain (€434 million) and Hungary (€299 million). In all so far the EU has funded countries to the tune of €3.5 billion.
