Portugal ‘ponders adjusting entry requirements to EU recommendation’

The government (which is ‘caretaking’ until the results of Sunday’s legislative elections) is said to be “pondering the adjustment of rules in force for entry (of airline passengers) into Portugal in face of the recommendation by Member States of the European Union that agreed that people with Covid Digital Certificates should not be submitted to additional restrictions to circulation”. This, in spite of the fact that the EU recommendation makes very little scientific sense (click here). The recommendation is described as ‘coming into force on February 1’. Right now, passengers flying into Portugal need to be able to show proof of a negative test for SARS-CoV-2 infection.
