Portugal Masters is back!

Both Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer have confirmed that they will be taking part in the 2011 Portugal Masters competition at the Oceânico Victoria Golf Course between October 13 and 16.

Currently Lee Westwood is sitting at number two in the world while Martin Kaymer is at number five and organisers believe that their involvement in the Portugal Masters will prove a big draw to the competition being played in Vilamoura.

The pair are expected to be among the favourites to win the Portugal Masters, which boasts a total prize fund of €3,000,000 and a first prize of €500,000.

Lee Westwood said: “Portugal is a country I always enjoy going to. Oceânico Victoria is a good golf course which has a lot of testing holes.  It’s going to be a good field with a big prize fund and it’s a great tournament to win.”

Martin Kaymer added: “I am delighted to return to the Oceânico Victoria Golf Course for the Portugal Masters.  I enjoy the weather and the golf course and have happy memories of my 61 in 2007.”
