Portugal leads field in educational inequality

“Education at a Glance 2015”, the latest OECD report focusing on education in 34 countries, shows that Portugal is a champion of inequality. The report found that Portugal has the second highest percentage of people who have only studied to 6th grade (usually completed at the age of 12) while it has a higher-than-average number of university graduates and ‘Masters’ (17% compared to the OECD average of 11%).
