In one of those headlines that makes you look twice, three times and still not really get it, we’re told today that Portugal is the 6th European country with the least number of deaths from (with?) Covid-19. Bearing in mind headlines over the weekend warned us “mortality is still high”, it is a piece of news that doesn’t really fit anywhere. But national media continues undaunted, cataloging this virus that chunders on causing very little trouble to anyone other than those trying to keep up with the daily DGS bulletins.
