Portugal hits 100,000-vaccinations-in-a-day target ‘week ahead of schedule’

Portugal hit its target of reaching 100,000 vaccinations against Covid-19 in a day yesterday (Thursday) and is on schedule for the same number today. Explain reports, this is actually ‘a week ahead of schedule’. According to vaccine coordinator vice-admiral Henrique Gouveia e Melo, the numbers have only been possible thanks to the self-scheduling platform which has ‘helped authorities’ substantially in reaching all those who want to take up the offer of inoculations.
