Portugal: Gas supplies from Trinidad and Tobago not 100% – EDP

Following on from the headaches of GALP due to failing gas supplies from Nigeria, EDP conceded on Friday that its gas supplies from Trinidad and Tobago are also “not at 100%”.The energy company says it has been resorting to the spot market, subject to price fluctuations, to meet obligations – and simply hopes this does not continue. EDP has, like GALP, reported bumper profits so far this year (€518 million in the first nine months), although production of hydroelectricity has been hammered by the drought.
