Portugal faces Latvia at “packed Algarve Stadium”

Portugal’s national football team cannot complain about a lack of support when it hosts Latvia at 7.45pm on Sunday (November 13) at the Algarve Stadium, halfway between Faro and Loulé.

The national football federation (FPF) has announced that tickets have sold out for the World Cup 2018 qualification match, with only a few VIP passes left.

This means a crowd of around 30,000 is expected to push Ronaldo and company towards victory in a stadium where Portugal has never lost, and where CR7 has scored in his last five games wearing the national jersey.

Portugal currently sits in the second spot of Group B with six points, three behind Switzerland.
