Portugal drops demands for holders of Covid Digital Certificates to present negative tests as well

Falling in line with the latest European recommendation, Portugal has dropped the need for airline travellers with valid Covid Digital Certificates requiring also to present a negative test for SARS-CoV-2 in order to enter the country. The same now applies to anyone accessing restaurants, touristic establishments and rentals, casinos, bingo halls and gyms. In a new decree law approved by today’s Council of Ministers, the validity of Covid Digital Certificates was also extended for nine months (very likely to be further extended until June 23, see brief below) while the validity of antigen tests was reduced from 48 to 24 hours.
