It’s the latest prediction, this time given by health secretary Diogo Serra Lopes as he opened a new vaccination centre in Portimão earlier today. Thanks to increasing rates of vaccination, Portugal could reach a state of herd immunity against Covid-19 with 60% of adults fully vaccinated by the beginning of the summer, not the end (as previously forecast). The new centre in Portimão meantime has been set up to inoculate 3,500 people per day.
