Portugal has vehemently condemned this morning’s missile attacks by Russia on the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, and other cities. Head of diplomacy João Gomes Cravinho stressed that “attacks on exclusively civilian targets constitute war crimes”. Russia carried out a series of bombardments in what Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy described as a “very, tough morning” today. Missiles hit Kiev, Lviv, Khmelnytskiy, Dnipro, Vinnitsia, Zaporijia, Sumy, Kharkiv and Jitomir. Dozens of people have been injured; the dead so far number around 10. Ukraine says a total of 75 missiles were launched against the country, 41 of which were intercepted by Ukrainian antiair defence.
