Starwood Hotels will be combining golf with charity fundraising through a 3 Events, 1 Cause charity tournament to take place across Portugal in August and September with all proceeds being donated to UNICEF.
The first of the three competitions is due to take place on August 6 on the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Golf Course at the Le Meridian Penina resort near Portimão.
The competition is set to remain in the Algarve for the second leg with the next tournament taking place at the Sheraton Algarve near Albufeira on the Pine Cliffs Golf Course & Country Club on August 20.
On the final day of the tournament, golfers will be in Lisbon at the Sheraton Lisbon Hotel & Spa and playing on the Quinta do Peru Golf Course on September 16.
This year money raised from the tournaments will be donated to UNICEF to help support education projects in Pakistan and Romania.
Golfers can choose to take part in as many of the tournaments as they like with each costing €60 per person and including the green fee and lunch.
Prizes, including breaks in Starwood Hotels and Resorts, will be awarded to men and women for the longest drive and nearest the pin.
