Portugal is celebrating a week (starting today) ‘dedicated to women in technology and engineering’.
The objective is to “revert the tendency of reduced participation of girls and women” in these subjects.
In the last 22 years, the percentage of female graduates in information and communication technologies (ICT) and engineering has fallen 19%.
Thus the government’s idea for “Girl in ICT week” which involves a webinar and various activities online.
