Portugal celebrates new record for number of vaccines administered in a day

Portugal celebrated a new record for the administration of vaccines yesterday (Saturday), inoculating 62,000 people – the majority pre-school and primary teachers and non-teaching staff. The plan is to up the rhythm to 100,000 people a day , with vaccination task force coordinator Gouveia e Melo guaranteeing that even this ambition could be exceeded to as many as 150,000 shots per day, as long as promised doses arrive, and as long as staffing levels are increased.
