Portugal is among the 30 least complex countries in the world for businesses, says a new index ranking 95 countries.
The TMF group’s annual ‘Global Benchmark Complexity Index’ ranks countries according to how complex they are to do business in from a “regulatory and compliance perspective”.
Portugal is named the 28th ‘least complex’ but, most importantly, this is the first time it has qualified for the index.
Ireland leads the list, emerging as a business-friendly country, even more appealing than the UK or the USA.
Argentina is at the other end of the spectrum, along with Indonesia, Colombia, the United Arab Emirates and China.
