A solo exhibition to be launched at São Brás Museum on March 8 features the impressionistic paintings of Will Kellermann.
A distinguished Dutch artist working professionally for more than 30 years, her pictures hang in galleries, commercial buildings and private homes in places as diverse as Amman, New York, Edinburgh and Zurich.
The forthcoming show is dedicated to her dreamlike visions of the Algarve and especially its people. Created using a palette of vivid colours, she employs a wide variety of classical and modern techniques.
Connoisseurs and art critics have compared her work to the great impressionists of the past; bold but not excessive, she creates an illusion of warmth and light that is so typically Algarvian.
The opening evening takes place in the museum’s new gallery and is free of charge.
Refreshments will be complimentary at the opening of the exhibition, from 7pm.
The show runs until May 1.
