Porto opens centre for Brits clamouring for long-overdue biometric residency cards

Around 1,000 Britons living in Porto will be able to obtain their new post-Brexit residency cards from today at the SEF immigration and borders service reception centre for British citizens opened by interior minister José Luís Carneiro. The new service point is in addition to service points recently set up in the Azores, Madeira, Lisbon, Cascais and Loulé in the Algarve, said the minister, adding that further posts in Quarteira, Coimbra and Faro should be opening later this month. Everything is on track to ensure Brits waiting for their new residency cards will finally get them, hopefully before the end of this year!
