Portimonense: wind of change

First-hand information filtering through the press suggests that the new manager as well as various player arrivals and departures will be made official by the Algarve’s only top division representatives at some point this week.

Ex-Porto B manager António Folha looks certain to be named as Vítor Oliveira’s successor while former international Luís Boa Morte has been put in the frame to take charge of the U-23 team still being put together.

Meanwhile, news from Porto suggests the reigning champions will take up their option to make Paulinho’s January loan move permanent for a sum of no less than €3 million, with Rafa Soares set to stay on in Portimão.

Meanwhile, the transfer from Paços de Ferreira of Luiz Phellype as a direct replacement for the departed Fabrício is moving closer as hitherto reserve keeper Carlos Henriques heads the other way on the back of some good end-of-season performances.
