Ahead of the 2017/18 Liga NOS fixtures, due to be released next Friday, newly-promoted Portimonense will present their squad for the coming season on Thursday, June 29.
Several additions to the playing staff are still in the pipeline before the big kick-off with latest news concerning South Korean forward Suk after Alfredo was ruled out as a possible partner up-front for Pires and Rui Costa. The 25-year-old spent last season at Trabzonspor (Turkey) and Debrecen (Hungary) on loan from FC Porto and could be on the way to the Algarve shortly.
Another player already here and staying is central defender Lucas Possignolo who has successfully extended his loan from São Paulo for another season. Meanwhile, club scouts are still sounding out the Brazilian market, well known to directors Rodiney Sampaio, Theodoro Fonseca and Robson Ponte, for further reinforcements.
