Portimonense: Must win

Liga Portugal Bwin: Belenenses SAD v Portimonense

This Saturday afternoon Portimonense will hope to finally end their winless run stretching back to last December when they take on bottom club Belenenses at the Jamor Stadium – but have to defy statistics in the process which to date show four draws and 17 defeats against the Lisbon club.

Following the two-week international break, manager Paulo Sérgio can call on a fully fit squad and three points would go a long way towards securing their top division status for next season.

In other news, two Brazilian clubs have been knocking on the door with a view to tempting Portimonense regular starters away. Botafogo are said to have an agreement in principle in place to secure the services of midfielder Lucas Fernandes while São Paulo are maintaining their strong interest in defender Willyan.
