A 66-year-old football coach was killed in a car crash on the EN125 road near Lagoa in the early hours of last Sunday (April 9). António Sagreiro was rushed to Portimão Hospital with several injuries and a punctured lung but died a few hours later. He had been a goalkeeper trainer for Portimonense’s youth teams for around 20 years. “He was a pure football lover and a good person,” the club said in a statement.
