The west Algarveans were one of the last second division teams to begin pre-season training this week.
The sessions were supervised by new manager-designate Litos who will be assisted by former Portimonense Brazilian winger Pedro Silva who enjoyed a successful spell with the Algarveans when Litos was last at the helm during the 2010/11 season.
While impressive defender Rui Correia has been snapped up by Nacional de Madeira, Rio Ave on-loan returnee Wakaso looks set to extend his stay alongside former Portimonense team mates Zambujo, Fabricio, Carlos, Lucas and Fernandinho. At the same time, former striker Simy is expected to return from Gil Vicente but Mica has left to join Portuguese-coached Polish Cup winners Zawisza Bydgoszcz.
